added by Bouchette for Ruifan on 24.04.2019 in 21:19everything has been going at a steady healthy pace and this has all happened in the last 2 weeks after things have been building, including trust and friendship. we are talking about travelling together for a year next year but so far we have agreed its too early to say if we are 'the ones'. hes absolutely lovely, but there are still getting-to-know-you barriers there and we are still on best behaviour. he told me this weekend that after holding back as he wasnt sure how i felt and not understanding what i see in him - he is now sure that hes falling in love with me. hes 23, i am 32, i may be looking for more than he is so i asked him where he saw us going a few weeks ago and he says he sees us as long term and i have no reason to doubt him - although i dont know if there are differing ideas of what 'long term' means as yet.

When she broke up with me she told me that she thought she would fall in love with me very easily and she wasn't ready for that. I could tell you several more incidents but it would be more than I want to reveal on here.

I could have become a musician. I'm not as far as what I could have been if my next meal depended on it, but I'm alright for a hobbyist. Then I'll casually say, oh yeah, I play, and maybe I'll play them something. But I didn't give up on music. But I went the traditional way and got a real job.

As a result of that conversation, I told him that while I was unable to shut the door to him at that very moment, it wouldn't always be open because I was going to move on with my life...including going out on dates. He knows me well enough to know that if/when he contacts me and I've moved on, he will not be able to sway me (for example, FireFighter contacted me about 3 weeks into this relationship, and it didn't have any impact at all). I haven't heard from him since.
